One of the best ways to be found for other keyphrases than your main keyphrase is to create new pages for each new keyphrase.

In other words if you had a Madeira Holidays website then your main keyphrase would be “madeira holidays”.  But not all of your potential clients will search for “madeira holidays”.  Some will search for actual hotel names such as “Savoy Hotel, Madeira”.  If you had a dedicated page on your website called “The Savoy Hotel Madeira” and it was full of content, photos and video about the hotel then there is a good chance that Google will put forward your page in their search results. As I have said before, the “magic sauce” in getting your website onto the front page of Google is to have as many back-links as possible from other websites pointing back to your site.

The ultimate back-link uses your “key phrase” as the link back to your site. In other words if you can get a link that uses your key phrase as the “hyperlink” then Google gives you even more weight.

You need to try and do this as regularly as possible as it really will make such a difference.

However, it doesn’t’ need to be a chore and you don’t’ have to have a link back from a travel site. Let me show you what I do. (more…)
